Autumn is on the run and that means rain, rain, and rain again. I really hate it when the days are getting darker and darker. But it is not just the weather which is frustrating it is also the fact that I have to change my styling. I really love wearing dresses and skirts. For me that kind of clothing stands for pure femininity. Of course it is possible to wear dresses and skirts also in autumn and winter. But getting dressed feminine in those times is much more cumbersome than in spring or winter. You need warm tights, lined boots and sometimes also additional legwarmers. Yes, legwarmers. Normally just dancers wear them but in combination with tights they really look great. Autumn is legwarmer time!

Women have two possibilities to cover their legs. They can wear a tight or also known as pantyhose or the can wear stockings. In case of stockings you have two options: stay up stockings and normal stocking where an additional suspender band is needed. Tights as well as stockings are mainly nylon and in both cases you can choose between a huge variety of styles and colors. What are the advantages of stockings and what are those of tights? Stockings are often considered to be more aesthetically or sexually attractive than tights.  But it is also often said that stay up stockings are not that practical because they easily slip. Good stay up stockings normally have special silicone coating to prevent slipping, but of course stockings have to be adjusted more than tights.  In winter or at cold and rainy days tights are better, because they cover your whole legs but stockings don’t.  Maybe it’s just a matter of taste if you prefer stockings or tights.
