Design concept

The colour concept of the ESS Apparel and Underwear Collection expresses the bicoloured melange of all product groups. Vivid Cranberry and Fuego will be combined with classic black and warm natural colours like Hortensia and Trueblue are ideal with Graphite and Sailor. Dragonfly and Sailor as well as Steel and Graphite set a hibernal, dynamic accent.

Apparel SNOW - new Tech-Shirt with Outlast®

The new Second Layer Finja/Malte is the highlight of the Apparel SNOW Collection - an innovative Tech Shirt, for the first time completely made of Outlast®. This material originally developed for aerospace is able to absorb excess body heat generated during physical activity, distribute it inside the fabric and, when needed, return it to the body once again. This principal is based on microencapsulation technology. Microscopically tiny capsules are deposited in the fibres. The microcapsules contain paraffin-like substances that are subsequently able to change their physical state. As soon as the body temperature is lower than the Outlast® layer, the stored heat is returned to the body. This change takes place within a temperature range that corresponds to the ideal skin temperature.

The skin's microclimate is constantly held in proper balance, thereby decisively improving general well-being during sports activities. A comfortable side effect is the reduction in sweat production Outlast® feels soft and warm.

The seamless processing prevents chafing for optimal freedom of movement. The discrete rib structure as well as mesh zones in the arm, stomach and back area ensure optimal heat management and the volume structures on shoulders a sportive-dynamic design. Finja/Malte can be perfectly worn under bodycontoured jackets thanks to its cut.

Yoga/Fitness - smooth transition to sportive lifestyle

The Yoga/Fitness range successfully launched in Spring/Summer 2008 will be expanded in the forthcoming Fall/Winter season. In order to better meet the different trends in Yoga, Dance and Fitness, FALKE will complement its range by four shirts, two pants and a stretch jacket featuring ingenious drapings, layerings and flounces. The new styles perfectly combine traditional Asian accents with lifestyle elements of western modern trends. The environmentally-friendly bamboo materials are antibacterial and ensure excellent moisture management thanks to high absorption.

Urban Outdoor - Sports style with functionality

The innovative Urban Outdoor Collection combining urban casual wear with functional sports clothing, features new winter polos in seamless technology with mesh zones on the collar, back and side. Seamless processing provides optimal freedom of movement and Ventcool ensures optimal moisture management. Also new to the range: the quilted Cairns jacket available for women and men sets fresh accents with its colour-contrasting lining. The soft 2- way stretch and napped pants Hobart are also available as trendy stretch pants for women and as retro-knickerbockers for men. The pants Houston are perfect for activities in cool temperatures and ensure comfortable wear thanks to the napped inside and the pre-shaped knee area.

Urban Underwear is complemented by a classic, comfortable business singlet in the women's and in the men's range.

Running - wind and water-repellent jackets for extreme temperatures

Following the great success of the entire Active Sports range which was recognised in 2007 with the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, FALKE Ergonomic Sport System continues to focus on innovative running products combining high-tech functionality and attractive design. The seamless Running Shirts for women and men provide optimal moisture management and rapid drying thanks to the Ventcool material. Ventilating mesh inserts at the side and back are ideal in sports activities.

The special material combination is characterised by silky touch and soft, pleasant wear. Additional styles feature trendy functional details such as reflective stripes and logos on front and reverse or on sleeves. With the Cleveland model the Apparel Running Collection presents for the first time a thin membrane padded jacket which also features FALKE standards like reflective prints, drawstrings at the seam and a zip pouch in addition to wind and water-repellent properties in a trendy design. Erie, a new softshell jacket is also wind and water-repellent and additionally offers star-shaped ventilators as well as taped reflectors.

In the pants range, new accents are set with design elements like seams in contrasting colours. Moreover, the focus is on standards like taped reflectors, integrated mesh structures with coloured flatlock contour and waists with drawstring.

ESS Underwear Comfort Light - the perfect climate control throughout the year

Comfort Light features an entirely new attractive design - the functional allseason underwear from FALKE ERGONOMIC SPORT SYSTEM. The loose piquéweave cut and the new material blend ensures a push-pull effect and thus rapid moisture evaporation and a comfortable wear. The garments fit particularly comfortably to the body thanks to the additional Lycra content. This prevents crease formation, particularly around the ankles and when walking. A new V-Neck longsleeved shirt complements the line. The functional Underwear Collection, hitherto only available in two basic colours, now offers trendy colours and can be perfectly combined with the Second and Third Layer FALKE ESS ranges.
